you ought not to be rude to an eagle (Bilbo Baggins)

Now that the cat’s out of the bag and everyone knows where we’re hoping to relocate after we head to San Diego for the holidays, I’ll just post some brief updates on what we’re doing in the interim. This was our last week in Bay Center. We drove around the Aberdeen/Hoquiam area one more time (still love it), had dinner at a little brewery in South Bend, stocked up on supplies at the Costco down in Astoria, and explored more of the Willapa Bay area.

And spotted so many bald eagles!!

Today we crossed back into Oregon as we started our journey to Deron’s sister’s house for Thanksgiving 😊.

See you soon San Diego!

praise & prayer

So grateful to be able to spend time with family and friends for the holidays, and also so excited to start our newest season after the holidays!

But this CS Lewis quote from the Narnia series describes what we’re really, really looking forward to: “…but the things that began to happen after that were so great and beautiful that I cannot write them. And for us this the end of all the stories, and we can most truly say that they all lived happily ever after. But for them it was only the beginning of the real story. All their life in this world and all their adventures in Narnia had only been the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on for ever: in which every chapter is better than the one before.”
